I wanted to get the color palette from Gimp called, “Bears”. I found where it was stored (data/palettes/Bears.gpl · master · GNOME / GIMP · GitLab ) but when I downloaded it, it was a .txt file.
Q: Can I simply rename it to .gpl and import it into Krita or is that not advisable?
(I’m using Krita on Android)
pretty sure you can just rename it

It is necessary to rename the extension to gpl… without this, the palette will not be “read” by the program. If you want, make a backup and rename only the copy.
Note: I had an old palette made in Gimp and it already had the gpl extension. when I put it in Krita, the program loaded it normally.

Thanks! I figured out that my browser had changed the extension to .txt
It’s working fine now. ![]()
