About experimentally adding rebelle 5 pigments to krita

This is just an experiment based on Add spectral blending of mypaint , as a research on the performance of rebelle 5 pigments in krita.

But I have encountered a problem. When I only add the mixbox to krita’s pigment directory, lcmsengine will fail to compile. I have to add the mixbox to lcmsengine’s cmakelists again to compile successfully. How can I solve this problem?

Since this is more of a developer question, I’m moving it to Development. That way it should better reach the intended audience.

Well, thank you!

There were some problems in the previous test. The effect was very good and the performance was very fast, but there was one biggest problem. It could not be used legally in krita

It does look nice

Yes, it feels better and faster than mypaint spectral (only there is a delay when the lightness smudge brush size is large). It can work normally under 8-bit RGB. Unfortunately, it cannot be formally added to krita

Is this because the code is released under an incompatible license? Or is there a patent issue?

Yes, its license is not compatible with krita and is not allowed to be used commercially. I don’t even know whether it is legal for me to publish the modification method or upload the modified krita source code and libmypaint

Rebelde code is only for personal use. It is to make people test and buy

The first picture is the effect of parallel mode, and the second picture is rebelle5 pigments

I did a color mixing experiment, and I found that the effect of parallel mode is also good, my modified parallel mode code is as follows:

I understand next to nothing about the subject, but it’s absolutely fascinating what you create here!
