Accidentally deleted a downloaded brush, please help me find it

I had a brush. A G brush that was more rectangular in its nature with a Krita match thumbnail. It was my precious.

Some time ago, overnight, I decided to download Linux Mint. And I did so. What I didn’t think about was the fact that I should probably back up my brushes on another disc.

It’s gone. My beloved is gone. I’ve looked through almost every bundle on this site. It’s been reduced to atoms, from what I’ve gathered, because it’s nowhere to be find.

It was so squared, I loved it so much. Please, if anyone recognises, I will be forever thankful.

 Hello @Story_Joe_Phoenix and welcome to the forum!

It can be URAVERAGEBOI’s Mypaint brush- or perhaps a brush from URAVERAGEBOI’s Bundle- or it is in one of 3 downloads I’ll send you via PM, because my standard cloud is currently not accepting uploads by anyone because of maintenance issues.

Thank you a lot for your help, I mean it, but that’s not it. My brush had no opacity variation, was incredibly pixelated with no softness to it and had a rectangular tip shape. The ones you sent are great but none of them are it or come close. I think I just need to come to the terms with the fact that I will never find it.

maybe you can make it and share it!

Maybe one day

If you had at least a screenshot showing its icon, I would have a chance to recognize it. I run an installation with any brush preset I own for this purpose only, which currently counts up to ~8000 brush presets, it has enabled me to find a lot of “lost brushes” other users asked for.

Really wish I had, ugh. It’s a thing you never think about until it’s too late.

This is the best I can do, I don’t even know how correct it is. It was very, very similar to this native Krita thumbnail and placed right next to this one specific brush. I believe it was a modification of it.

I’ll try to find a brush in that range, but it will probably take time.

Yes, of course! Thank you for engaging either way, it means a lot to me

Okay, the brush preset that is usually right beside this preset from your screenshot is the u) Pixel Art Fill plus from @Deevad’s Krita 4 Extras bundle. To download it, you have to scroll that site way down near its end.
Its icon is the following:

By the way, something I may have overseen, because you mentioned your loss in combination with your Linux experiment, is the fact that you could have deleted this preset just recently. If that is the case, then you will find a step-by-step description on how to undelete such resources here, including a screenshot illustrating the way:

That’s not it and your advice didn’t help, unfortunately, since Krita has been fully redownloaded on an entirely new OS. I am so lost. What the hell did I download. It’s getting ridiculous at this point cause I remember I just downloaded a bunch of bundles and definitely didn’t search for it this feverishly. It’s not like I’ve had those bundles for years either. This is insane.

Was it a Pixel Art preset, or a “classic” preset using a square as brush tip?

Michelist

My best guess is pixel art, since it was perfectly sharp, you could draw pixel art with it. It wasn’t just a square pixel though, the tip was rectangular and reacted to the rotation of the pen. It reacted to pressure, plus had no texture, was just straight up like a perfectly sharp marker.

I achieved this using that brush, you can even see something reminiscent of the possible tip shape

The drawing is not the og file so it’s not as sharp as the brush was

I can’t promise anything, but if I notice such a preset, I’ll let you know.

That’s more than enough, thank you!

Hello, I was wondering if you still have URAVERAGEBOI’s brushes. I decided to reset my PC, but forgot to backup the brushes I used and I can’t find a working link to download the brushes. I would greatly appreciate it if you could share the link/file. Thank you in advance!

 Hello @amirka22, and welcome to the forum!

I’ll search and then publish them tomorrow in our resource category.
