Actuator - Automate Sequences of Actions : Krita Plugin [paid]

Hello, I am testing your plugin and two comments:

  1. it’s very frustrating we have to use default settings for commands. The plugin is very limited in action.
  2. it freezes Krita in my test.

Here is my commands
2022-12-28_18h23_08
and I have a message not closing. If I close it, Krita freezes

Thanks for choosing the Actuator!

Unfortunately existing Krita API is limited in that sense. At this point it is only possible to execute sequence with default settings.

Let me try execute this sequence at my end and get back to you.

Hi. The plugin works great for me. Thanks again. I have set many actions for myself. I realized that if I add some more buttons, this bar will be too long. I wonder if we can divide it into 2-3 parts. Or do you have a solution for this? @yetanotherpainter

Glad you like it!

Unfortunately, at this point there is no solution for that.
I am currently working on making this possible.

Hello there!

I’m very curious about your plugin and am looking into buying it!
I would just like to know before hand if I could make these sequences of actions and if I can map them on a keyboard shortcut.

I would like to make an acction with a shortcut for adding and deleting a layer, without having to click in the layer tab.
Also, I would like to make so that horizontal and vertical flipping during a transformation is set as a sequence and on a keyboard shortcut again.

THank you for your help and have a nice day!

Well, I bought it and it did not work for two actions -see my post dec 22, so I cannot encourage to buy it for the moment.

Update : fixed in 0.3 version

Hi, I have one question: can the Actuator sequence be called via the command line with a set of parameters (for batch processing)? Thank you for your reply!

At this point sequence of actions is internal for the plugin itself. I have not put any functionality for external use. Can you elaborate more on “command line” use?

That would be great but I can’t afford to pay for anything extra for my art, so I need something that is FREE!

Well, I paid for it and ti does not work as intended.

Update : fixed in : 0:3 version

Krita 5.1.5 was released recently.
I have come to let you know that I tested Actuator against this version and its operations are nominal.

Making an assignment of a shortcut for a sequence will take a while. I intend to add this feature into v0.3.1.

It will be possible once v0.3 will be released. Here how it will look like:
actuator-plugin-01

Yes it is a known issue. Since one action can take longer time than another on the fast computers some actions can interfere with each other.

This issue is addressed in v0.3. There will be setting “Action Delay”. This setting will control how long to wait before executing another action.

:fire: wow :fire:

Is it difficult to add script execution functionality to it?

Scripting is also a part of automation functionality (although it is more difficult for the general public). Currently, I use ‘Ten Scripts’ for management. It’s a bit troublesome, I need to remember the shortcut keys.

I think using these scripts as a button is appropriate
