Well, my request is to reintegrate the Breeze style into Krita, since currently only Fusion is available. I understand that it was disabled in the past due to some issues, issues that have since been resolved.
This is mainly because many users are asking for the Krita interface to be modernized, or because Krita looks “old.”
In addition, this would make it integrate much better with KDE Plasma or Windows 11.
Can I just make a merge request to add back breeze as a rando who has never done anything in this project? Or does there have to be some sort of agreement?
Yes, you can. There’s no special agreement you need to sign or whatever.
From what i understand, breeze needs to be added to the krita-deps-management repo, then specified in the various packaging scripts?
Fusion is an ugly design. I hope this happens sooner rather than later.
Has there been any updates on this, by the by? I mostly want my Krita to follow my general KDE setup, but I know it’s not really something that can be done overnight. Still, at least having Breeze would be nice.
Unfortunately no, i made an attempt to maybe add it in order to make a merge request but i couldn’t figure out how to do anything. Maybe someone more experienced can open one.
With KDE 6.7, we got the revival of Oxygen, I wonder if Oxygen theming could be implemented since it’s so pretty!
