Recently I saw my younger brother was editing something in Capcut. In that I saw a very nice thing that in it we can make Overlay and many other things, the main interesting thing is the Adjustment of those.
I would have uploaded screenshots but I’m not skilled with Capcut.
{I’m raw to describe something, so if anyone didn’t understand then please tell me.}

This Feature Request topic describes and explains nothing.
It says there is something called ‘Capcut’ that can do nice things. That is all.
You need to explain what you mean, what it can do and give illustrations of what it can do along with written explanations of the illustrations.
Then you need to explain why that can not be done using krita and what problems you have due to krita not being able to do that.

pictures or vid of how it work would be nice.

You just need to press the button right beside your F12-key on a standard keyboard, on English language keyboards this key is usually named Print/Screen often abbreviations are used for this. In case you use a non-English keyboard, these keys usually wear an imprint that has the same meaning, so to print something (the screen).
After this you open Windows “Start Menu”, then “Windows accessories” there you open “Paint” BUT NOT “PAINT 3D”
, when Paint opened you use first CTRL + V and then CTRL + Shift + X to crop out that part of the inserted screenshot you want to show us and then CTRL + S to save the Picture as JPG, you can choose the format in the drop-down of the save dialog, then post it here in the forum.

I use krita and do Edit → Paste into New Image then do all my cropping, composing, annotating, etc in there.

Krita is a good solution for such tasks, but I don’t know if the brother of @Studio-Kyubo has that on his PC.

Thanks,
But I didn’t mean that.
I meant that I can’t use Capcut as well.
And about screenshot, I generally use MS Snipping Tool.

First, I want to give a little explanation.
I n this request I’m talking about, allowing adjustment of blending mode.
I’ve marked some blending modes,
- Multiply: adjusting how much multiplied or depth the layer will be
- Overlay: adjusting Overlay hardness of the layer
- Soft light: adjusting light softness of the layer
- Hard light : adjusting light hardness of the layer
…etc
Now see this screen recording,
{made it at midnight

Oh that.
I think krita is more flexible.
if you add blending layer as layer on top of another - it gives you the following ability.
Adjust the intensity by changing opacity
Adjust color of blending by painting on the layer itself
Add Mask , such as transparency mask, filter mask etc.
How do you utilize blending layer?
layer structure and stuff?
Thanks, it’s good.
But you can see in the video, some look so attractive and some are not. I think it will be a difficult task to make attractive effects with your solutions.
But I may be wrong.

I think these are more preprogram / templated blending modes then they give you control on intensity.
Krita gives you the ability to do this + other things, more control but less instant good looking result.
So multiply is not simply just depth there is a color like blue or violet [ which I use alot as cheat for shadow ] . The color partly dictates the look. Same with overlay. I can overlay with green or red or blue or pink, even gradient then control how much of that is reflected on parts of the painting [and so is hard light/ soft light - which i use alot but i use it as sort of part of the painting only rather than whole]
as someone who uses blending modes in painting I like the control of being able to apply blending modes on just part of the painting but just painting on the layer. Also being able to change the color.
I agree on maybe having some template/favourites? with intensity slider sort of can help for those who just one to do quick edits on picture. (Edit: PRESET is the word i was looking for - im dumb)
As long as it wont replace the flexibility it currently offer. because drawing sun streak with overlay + soft light layer glow is satisfying. or adding overlay / color dodge layer then painting a faint color there just to add extra oomph on the cloud.
