As the title says, I think an opacity adjustment slider for the fill on geometry tools would be nice! Something like this:
If you create the objects on a Vector Layer (see image point: 1), you can select the objects with the Select Shapes Tools (see image point: 2) and then adjust the opacity with the slide bar on the Tool Options panel (see image point: 3).
(Edit to include image; Admins, please note the image was created by me)
Ah I was mostly suggesting this with raster/painting in mind, the freehand shapes tool is very useful for that and many other software (like FireAlpaca) have opacity adjust for shape fills-- it would be nice to see Krita have it too
For your mix of raster objects layered above another/each other on a single raster layer, it is impossible for Krita to determine which may be what, and what to manipulate. If you had created this using layers, you could use the method described above.

Other softwares do track each stroke or shape as paths or objects but Krita doesn’t, therefore as soon as the paint hits the canvas it has no notion of it ever existing anymore, that’s why changing it afterwards is not possible, and it probably never will be. The only way to get objects in Krita you can edit later, is to create them on vector layers from the beginning.
Oh I didn’t mean adjusting the opacity after putting down the paint, I meant opacity of the paint as you put it down. Like opacity slider for brushes, but for the raster shape fills. (Ex: I made the example with shape fill brush at less than 100% opacity)
@denpring The Opacity slider on the Toolbar controls the opacity of a shape tool’s outline and the fill as well.
It also controls the opacity of the Fill Tool fill. It’s not just for brush painting.
