I’ve seen Ibis Paint add a feature that applies noise disrupting generative AI fine-tuning to the image, aiming to protect the artist’s work from being trained on in case it’s fed into AI’s database.
I wish to see at least a script for Krita that does the same, because I want to protect my work from AI scraping. Ideally, it would be something like the Fourier watermark script (assuming Fourier watermark doesn’t already disrupt AI).
I’m aware that tools like Glaze and Nightshade exist and are free, but the problem for me (and probably some other artists) is that I cannot afford a setup for them, as their requirements are pretty high and WebGlaze is invite-only, which is hard to obtain.
If you figure out a way to at least make a script like this, please let me know

I thought about this a lot.
Deviant art started as a site where it was safe for artists to share and control their IP.
Art station started out this way.
It’s really good to have a site re-affirm that sacred right, but for how long?
We Cannot forever rely on people handling our data for us. All we need is to take what’s been done, optimise it to run in tiles that fit a GPU memory of any size and run the script locally to truly take back our power as artists.
No more half solutions of trusting others with our IP. We need to be able to do this ourselves. I don’t want to upload on Cera, I want to upload here to you guys without someone wondering how long the link will last to the artwork.
I’m voting for this. It’s an answer to a big and ongoing problem of IP management.
This is about protecting artists. We have to face this head on.
What’s more I point to this research again:
Try to ignore the part about this guy using this to protect his AI, we can use it for good things. Trust.
The users has uploaded a Library of available IP protection tools which could be used to protect original paintings and drawings. The reason you can’t even find my post through google now is because someone chucked it into the AI bin on this forum.
I did post about this before, I’ll add it here where it’s easily accessible.
Forget online portfolios as the ultimate answer to IP protection. That time is coming to an end for artists truly in the know for what can happen to the IP we have fought our whole lives to protect.
