The background works well with the picnic scene and the tones for the feathers give it a real 3d feel. But…

It wouldn’t be the first time a large bird eats a smaller one in nature!
But to be honest there were areas of this picture I didn’t like and it was left like this unfinished, so I didn’t Pay a lot of attention to what she is really eating; In universe this culture is supposed to partake in Nomadic pastoralism ; But I haven’t got to the point of designing the animals they raise

True. There’s plenty of studies that analyze stomach contents of herbivores like deer, only to find other small animals like mice and birds. Turns out being an herbivore or carnivore in nature is more like a guide than a rule.

Yes indeed! I think the part I was a bit more afraid of, is that the picture would imply something disturbing in any way!
