Android - Clone Tool

@sh-zam
The clone tool sorta works on Android (Samsung Galaxy S7 tablet) but has limitations due to Android not having a keyboard.
The source and stamp/stroke are close together and seem to only stamp on one direction (see attached screenshot). I can’t seem to be able to select something on the right and have it draw the cloned spot on the left. It will only work from left to right.

I can long press to select a point (of course the pop-up palette comes up but that’s ok, I just dismiss it).

Is there a way to get more control with the stroke direction and how far the selection is from the stroke?

On a related note:

The pop-up palette seems to only be able to be triggered on my Samsung S7 tablet when the Clone tool is selected and I long press, as mentioned in the previous post.

I’m not sure if I can help with this if it’s android specific. :thinking:

Do you have a means to apply Ctrl-click on you tablet? That’s how you reset the clone point on keyboard.

Do you have rotation set to drawing angle?

There are different settings for the clone brush under Colour>Painting mode. There you can set the origin to follow or remain static.

edit: I see this wasn’t necessarily asking for help. But just in case there’s settings you missed I’ll leave it here! :wink:

@Mythmaker Glad you mentioned the brush’s settings. I looked at them but didn’t quite understand what to do with them. I’ll try what you suggested.

P.S. Android tablet does not have a physical keyboard so I can’t set the clone point that way.

Is there any update on this? So is there now a way to set the fix point in Android?
