So I tried importing a few files from another drawing app (artflow) but even though I saved them as a psd krita refuses to read them correctly, every layer with any color is just horizontal lines of color.

Krita last Play store update (5.1.5 I think)
Given that it’s marked as Fixed in the bug tracker, you should be able to download and sideload the nightly build .apk.
I don’t know how to do that but someone else could give advice.
An alternative would be the 5.1.4 .apk.
I saw a similar problem with a Win10 user, is it possible that the described “fix” affects not only android? I’ll try to convey your advice about using Nightly Build’s.
The bug was formally reported for Android 13 but trying the Nightly build to fix a bug is a good idea, but use the .zip package to prevent changes to the installed formal release.
The fix for bug 464015 affects devices using the ARM architecture, which usually means Android or macOS.
There was a related bug in 5.1.3 and earlier that affected other platforms as well.
Um if I were to use a new build to side load I’m not sure of 2 things 1 will I still be able to update the stable version from play store and B whom to ask how to do so? @AhabGreybeard your advice is much appreciated as always.
@Volkhvy I have only guesses about the answers to your questions but I’ve never done that on Android.
I’d suggest that you create a new topic asking “How do I sideload the nightly Android build?”.
That would be an obvious and noticeable topic for those people who know.
