Animation Timeline Frame Size Messed Up

I hope this is the correct category to put this issue in, but my animation timeline got messed up somehow and I could not find anything online to solve it. (maybe this was caused by my hand hitting something on the keyboard/trackpad? idk)

at first the frames were skinny and it made it possible to have more frames on the immediate timeline like this:

I don’t know what I did or touched, but somehow it got resized to this:

this is not a huge issue, as I can work around it and it does not change anything fundamental about the animation itself, but it does make working with this specific shot (which is a little under 600 frames btw) a little more annoying since I have to continuously scroll.

It may be that you used the Zoom Timeline icon and ‘zoomed in’ on the timeline.
You can use it to ‘zoom out’ to get the timeline as you want it to be.
It’s to the left of the frame-0 marker and its tooltip tells you about it:

I don’t think you can lock the timeline scale/zoom setting and the value is not preserved in the .kra file.

For a long animation, instead of manually scrolling, you can put the cursor to the right of the scroll bar and do right-click -> Scroll Here to jump further along the entire timeline.
If you’re good at judging distances then it’s accurate.

Ahh! yep that was it! I didn’t even notice that was there! thanks so much!
