As far as I know Krita has some texture brushes and a few zip files i could download to get more brushes
But I LOVE texture brushes. My favorites are probably all the “JJ waterc” ones (I’m they ain’t TEXTURE brushes but they got spice) and i like the weird effects that come with it. I also have fallen in love with the RGBA brushes. My favorite thing to do is pile up all the funky brushes into my special Texture tag and eventually come back to them when i feel the project I’m doing demands something special.
Doing an art project for a school exhibition and I want all the funky textures i can find to color it up. give me the thick, the thin, the oily, the watercolor-y, anything that doesn’t look like a plain color when you draw.
there’s that zip file collection of brushes i can load (via the zip button on krita) and i dunno which ones will have what i need so gimme suggestions from there so my life can be infinitely easier
also side note if u wanna give me texture brushes u made or 3rd party stuff just pls tell me how to load them on krita 5.1.5 bc i don’t wanna [profanity removed] my krita and my computer lol
my art project has to be handed in by may 1st at the latest so reply as soon as u can thanks!
If the downloaded brushes are in a zip file, unzip them. Then in Krita, go to Settings > Manage Resources. In the new window that opens, select Import. Navigate to the bundle you downloaded. That will bring the brushes into Krita.
ty for the brush recommendations! i found them super cool!
i havent tried all of them (some apparently cost money/some i couldn’t figure out where the download button was) but of the two i did try they were very cool and i like them!
For the bundles hosted on the platform “Gumroad”, you can enter any price on the right, the only condition is that the price entered there is not less than the proposal displayed on the left, next to the creator’s name. So if you want to do something good for one of the creators, you can enter there any amount you are willing to pay, but you don’t have to do it.
If you are interested in more free resources for Krita, you will probably find them in these articles. If any of the resources presented there are now inaccessible, let me know, I have all of it backed up at my place and am happy to upload it to my cloud and share it, if the license allows it.
Have fun “digging”:
And here is more than just brushes:
If that wasn’t enough, you can ask me for more links, I have “a few” more.
