Any way to easy edit color palette? Having nuisances resetting color palette

As I understand, I think I’m used to abnormal workflows of mine. I like to use my own colors while drawing, and that means I have to renew color palette frequently. I also know that I can use multiple palettes at once, but I tend to choose colors each time I draw. So my question is this;

Is there are easy ways or plugins to edit swatches in a color palette? For example, if I Shift+Left Click a existing color swatch, it will change to my current foreground color. And Alt+Left Click a existing color swatch, it will delete it.

For now, I have to right click each swatches in my current color palette, and delete every one of those. And then I’ll be able to put new colors in. Or I’ll have to create new palettes every time, which leads to ‘New Palette_100,101..’ Hope there is a user who have same problem with me.

:slight_smile: Hello @leaf1 and welcome to the forum!

You can name new created palettes however you like, but I’m not sure how you try to create them. The usual way is to click on the colored palette icon (1.) on the bottom left of your palette docker and in the opening menu on the + icon (2.) which will open the dialog to create palettes (3.).

And with the trash-can button on the far right in (2.), you can delete any palette you want to remove.

Thanks for the reply! I’m grateful for your hard work for the maintenance.
But I think I didn’t make my question clear. I want to use palette like the way I draw actual watercolor paintings. I tend to keep my color palette’s swatches under 10 and huge, so I can pick and change colors alot. If I create new color palettes every times, I’ll eventually have to make ‘new palette_1000’, ‘new palette_1001’.. and so on. So my question is this;

  1. Is there a easy way to change the existing color swatch on the palette. I’m thinking the method like,
    Shift + Left Click on the swatch - Switch the existing color swatch on the palette to my current using foreground color
    Alt + Left Click on the swatch - Delete the color swatch

  2. or the way to reset or renew my current working color palette - not clicking each and every color swatches existing, and deleting them.

Thanks again for your service :slight_smile:

same… :smiling_face_with_tear:
i second this, editing palette is pain/teddy. for example:
to renew color, first i need to delete current slot pick some color then click that slot again.
miss-click empty slot and it duplicated,
and do it repeatedly for any edit.

if possible, i prefer edit it with just clicking any slot in the palette first, then adjust the color with any color selector. provit.

also, it may be interesting to show more than 1 palette at once separated by some separator, so it easier to edit different palette for each `palettize mask’… etc
palette and color count is important for pixel thingy.
