By the way (sorry if it’s not the appropriate place for this question but since I’m here now…), what happens to the brush bundles you had on the previous version when you upgrade Krita? Do they disappear in the process? Do we have to remove them first to have a “clean” reinstallation? 
Your brushes are safe. They’re stored in the config files which are not touched during updates.
However, it’s a really good idea to always have a copy of the resource folder saved somewhere else (external drive, cloud drive, etc.).
To locate the resource folder go to Configure Krita > General > Resources. Click the folder icon and that will bring you to the right place on your device.
