In this project about 8 hours (2 days).
I love Asian culture and their beautiful colorful outfits. The attire of this character is a Hanfu, possibly from the Han disnathy. I still need to learn a lot more. So, I hope my illustrations in the future will be loaded with history and meaning, and all from Krita <3

Great work!
Thank you for appreciating the beauty of Hanfu. As a Chinese person, I’m thrilled to see Chinese culture represented here. I’ve always wanted to create a beautiful 2D game with an ancient Chinese theme, which is why I started learning drawing. Currently, I’m still struggling with character design, but I’m determined to succeed no matter how long it takes.
I never thought of communicating with a Chinese person here, I’m really glad you liked my drawing (which is a bit humble in terms of ideas of Chinese culture, but one day I’ll make a drawing full of Chinese history).
On the other hand, I suspect you are a programmer. I was (almost) a programmer! Of course it’s possible, if you like drawing don’t give up and get what you want so much. Your idea sounds amazing, it would be good to start developing it :3
Yes, I’m a programmer, and I want to make a game about this:
Our protagonist is a 16-year-old girl named Alan. Her father is an archaeologist who has spent his life searching for the lost ancient kingdom of Loulan. However, until his father’s death, he still had not found the ruins of the ancient kingdom of Loulan. Alan decided to inherit her father’s legacy and set foot on the mysterious Western Regions. What kind of adventures and encounters will she have? How did the Kingdom of Loulan disappear?
I don’t want to make pixel art, so I taught myself to paint, but art is slow and can’t be rushed, so it will take me a long time to make this game.
By the way, if you are interested in Chinese culture, you can find inspiration from China’s 5,000-year history. For artists, the Dunhuang murals are simply a treasure trove.
Beautiful work. Quick question, though: I don’t know Chinese, but I’m conversational in Japanese, which borrows a lot from Chinese. What is the meaning of the characters you have on the lantern in the bottom right? I’m used to seeing those characters the other way around, as 平和, meaning “peace” in Japanese.
God, I love it. And it even mentions the Han and Tang Distania. I’ve been reading information on Chinese history and didn’t know about these ruins at all. Thanks for mentioning them to me. I think it would be a great story for the game, although I do imagine it like The Legend Of Zelda: A link to the Past, or Guardian Tales, but loaded with a lot of history. It would be very interesting if you add the details like: The Mummies of Tarim, the mystery of the disappearance of the kingdom, the silk road, and other mysteries
On the other hand, all good things take time :3
Thank you very much for the recommendation, of course I will look into it
P. P.S.: My English is not very good, so, I hope I made myself understood
Thank you for appreciating my illustration and paying attention to the details. You are one of the few people who ask me.
I don’t speak Chinese, nor Japanese but I have respect for it, and I try to include it if I draw themes related to Asian culture, I wanted to draw “peace” in Chinese letters, so, I searched and found that they were written: 和平 (hépíng). But to my surprise in Japanese they also have the same characters but backwards as you wrote: 平和 (heiwa). I didn’t think that being such different languages they could be a bit related.
Congratulations! Your artwork has been inducted into the featured artwork gallery row.

Description:
Digital illustration depicting an East Asian woman in traditional Chinese attire, with a realistic touch and a warm color palette. To her right, a paper lantern with Chinese characters symbolizing “peace” appears amidst the mystery evoked by the character and elements like the skull, a broken umbrella, and some cherry blossoms around her to bring harmony to the composition.
