Hey guys! Okay then, well, here to start off the next mini-art challenge! Hopefully those who participated last time will able to join again! (I can’t post more than 10 tags at once, so I’m sorry for a less personal invite!)

So, I kind of wanted to keep to the same sort of genre as previously – opting again for a less complicated prompt. I hope that, similar to last time, the challenge can be simple or elaborate based on your desire.
Challenge:Waterfalls
I think waterfalls are really beautiful. They’re soothing and peaceful while also at times powerful and majestic. Their settings can really set off their presence and make for some captivating imagery.
Challenge is:

To include a waterfall or multiple waterfalls in your piece.

The waterfall is not necessary as the focal point. Just as long as it is clearly visible in the piece. If it was somehow featured, that’d be cool. But, not an issue.

I don’t think something as little as a hump in a creek would really count? So, a waterfall that has some height and width – without needing to be excessively tall. Just as long as the water has some speed and drop to it. You know, a waterfall ;).

Foliage, etc, is fine to include.
Ideas:

The Distant View: Classic scene of the waterfall in the distance, surrounded by dense foliage, mists, or the rocky terrain.

Underneath the Waterfall: Standing underneath, behind a waterfall, and looking out through a streaming veil of water can be an extremely neat experience!

Long/Thin vs Large/Powerful: The surrealistic feel of waterfalls can lean towards the peaceful and pretty or the opposing powerful and impressive. The long thin streams of Yosemite versus the strong energies of Niagara.

Looking up /Looking down: Right at the height of the flow, staring down the long trail could make for an interesting composition. Similarly, the sheer length emphasized by staring up towards the top and hardly able to see it!

Or Multiple: More than one set of falls running down to join into a single body of water at the base can have a beauty all it’s own.

Frozen or Heated: And ,with any of these, the climate you choose could impact the flow of the water - making it hardened with ice or steamy.
I do want to emphasize, small waterfalls are okay. They don’t have to be huge. Just an honest waterfall.

So, like last time, I’m extending the deadline through to the end of next month. We’re now, ironically, on the other side of the summer months. Back to school routines are kicking in, so, seems to be the more relaxed route.
