Hello there~
Decided to remake some old brushes with new tips, also appereantly some didn’t work as I intended for them to work to as well at all.
If you used these bundles, I would advise to download the updated version.
(“E-pencils” and “United bundle”, I shared under the different variants of my name that begins with Aura[…]
)
The bundle is CC0, I’m currently remaking all my bundles and plan to release them as CC0 too (I`m playing with my own tips/patterns and Krita’s 3 and 4 default ones, tho don’t expect much, mine are not unique but they are free to toy with, I guess?
), for now I’m testing waters in hope everything works as supposed to.
If something goes wrong, I included not only the bundle but brush tips/patterns/present and a small check list with what brush uses what tip/pattern in the zip file.
Here are some samples:

Beautiful brushes!!! my awful sketches really don’t do them justice xD
I think my favourite was the soft pencil for just instantly feeling right, but you also really nailed down how a mechanical pencil feels to use as well.
Thank you so much for posting these \╭◜◝ ᵕ ◜◝╮/

Glad you are liking them~
I`m impressed you managed to draw such a pretty flower considering all my pencils I mostly use for lineart/sketching, so seeing them not just being a monocoloured lineart feels a bit wild
Such a use kinda flew over my head

I have a pack of 200 coloured pencil and I like using them to make sketches and decorate birthday cards so it was a no-brainer for me xD I felt the same seeing all the different creative ways people used my metallics, it’s so exciting lol

The closest I had is me using Hard pencil for all the process here. You can also use it for painting, I don’t have the best laptop but it works well in big sizes.
I`m kinda relieved that I managed to find a tip that feels pretty similar to that I used originally. I brought in so many from PS ages ago (I use Krita since 2016), some tips I traced to deviantart and are as old as 17 yo. I managed to trace one I used to the OG creator, and they were like, “plz don’t use my tips in your brushes”. The post is old, their DA is dead for like 10 years but I decided to respect it, so alas, started to do my own things.
At least for my own cc0 things, tho I found some very common tips we use nowadays, and searched the og creators on da, and many said its fine to use their brushes, I will probably use them, just not for cc0 bundles

I know it’s “just tips” but tips are half of the magic for brushes and I don’t want to release into publich domain things I didn’t personally crafted. Tho not gonna lie, if some my tips look familiar… I got inspirations

I hope no person will go after me for making another square gradient tip

Funnily, in the world of PS ABR’s it is so common to use other users brush tips (if not more) without giving any credit for it. I’ve unpacked tons of ABR’s for the brush tips, and it’s safe to say that at least 50% contain different fractions of the same brush tips over and over. Only ~30%, maybe a little more, are unique creations, the rest is “I steal from you, and you steal from me, and ‘Shhhh!’, nobody says anything.”
And this is the same when it comes to gradients, layer-styles and patterns too. It seems to be an accepted behavior in the world of closed source.

Tbh it’s hard to tell at times, there are some very simple brushes, and I’ve seen at least a few looking very close to each other, so I’m not even sure how to search for people who made them. That’s why I hope no one comes after me bc I’m not sure how to even make a gradient tip more differently than this
(e.g.)
Tho mine at least is of a much bigger size, and I made it out of squished circle and blured the hell out of it.
I saw some very unique tips and found no person who made them, even tho I downloaded like a few dozens of abr sets from different artist, going as far as 2007 on deviantart.
I think the closest is that I found are these tips
Made by this person (if we to believe their posts, and I had these tips for a long time, so I’m happy to see who at least made them).

And some tips I saw in other sets were made by Rahl but he also states not all of them are his.

Let’t just say, I hope people will forgive me for turning gradient squares and circles in CC0
but more unique tips, no choice but to make them yourself

Yes, that is the consequence, or having an arsenal of resources as huge as mine. My recreation of @sadinwilfbin’s MB-Starter Pack was possible because of tons of CC0 resources. But not everyone is a resource addict like me.

I had a tip I found in brushes he shared many years ago but again, not sure who made them, him, somebody else?
So I have no choice but to kinda “copy” too, tho I hope they look like different tips. When you are used to a certain one it’s so hard to switch, I honestly hoped to walk around and ask arists if they are okay with CC0 usage, I`m sure there would be some how would not mind but there is no way to find most of them.
I’m not joking when I’m telling I was a detective for a week…
I hope there is not such a thing as punishment for a “tip referencing”
Bc I was having a little mental break down over this topic not gonna lie

If you’ve gone to this much trouble, you shouldn’t have to be accused of anything. And if you say that you used brush tips from CC0-labeled resources as well as ones you created yourself, then you’ve done all you can do. Don’t worry about it, I would say.

Shhh to tell you a secret I also copied a brushtip inspirationally to “CC0” it xD
Looking back, the one I copied was open-source to begin with! but I was so nervous about using other people’s work I decided it was better to be safe then sorry haha
For a different set, I spoke to Memileo beforehand because I felt I should get permission and double-check things.
They were so wonderful and patient! But also like “yeah the license is CC-BY-SA” and I was like (ʘ‿ʘ) .You know what maybe I did overthink all of this xD
Um, let’s just say great minds think alike (≖ᴗ≖ )σ

Tbh I’m lowkey having some fun, I’m almost done with the remake of my lineart bundle, gonna add some “me made” textures and another brush I made today just for sh*ts and giggles named “my scan is old, im 15 with no idea how to edit scans”
You can make it even more dries, legitely gives me some nostalgia lmao
