Back and drapery practice

Like I mentioned in my last figure attempt, I haven’t really figured out my process for digital painting yet :expressionless_face:

I started this one with Basic-3 Flow again, but kind of got frustrated with the overly “digital” look and switched back to some of the Deevad brushes. I think his brushes are still my overall favorites in Krita so far.

I generally want my pictures to feel more traditional than digital, but there are soooo many ways to accomplish that goal. (Using textured brushes right from the beginning, selectively applying texture after most of the painting is done, overlaying the whole painting with texture once you’re done, etc. etc. etc.) I think next painting I’m just going to pick a few textured brushes and paint very directly, as if it actually was traditional, see how that works for me…
