Hi, a noob here trying to learn how to animate in Krita.
My question is, do I have to insert my artwork that will serve as a background into every frame? And if so, is there a fast way to do this, instead of coping to clipboard/paste into every frame one by one? Thanks!
A static (non-animated) background image will appear in every frame of the animation.
So, if your background doesn’t change then you only need to paint it once and not even bother making it an animated layer.
If your background changes, such as sliding/panning when a character moves across the screen, then when it stops changing you can leave it alone and the last changed keyframe will be repeated along the timeline as a ‘Held’ frame. This is shown as a thin blue horizontal line along the timeline.
