Which canvas size is better for animation with a look like anime and for anime background.
What are the image sizes of existing anime that you know about?
There are animation templates available but I don’t know how relevant they are:
Since Animes mostly aired on TV they traditionally have aspect ratios and resolutions of the most common TVs, like 4:3 or nowadays 16:9. Dimension isn’t that important but it doesn’t make sense to go much bigger than what can be displayed. Since Anime is mostly defined by style and story telling there isn’t really a canvas size that is typical Anime.
Usually for pictures you’d use something like A4 300dpi (2480 x 3508), but for animation I’d suggest the display size, something like fullHD: 1920 x 1080. Animation will take huge amount of your RAM anyway, so the smaller you can go, the better. And fullHD is a good resolution, you don’t really need 4K most of the time.
