Best drawing tablet-Choose the best

I am in need of the best drawing tablet because I want something reliable for digital art, sketching, and creative work. I’m looking for a tablet that will be responsive, easy to use, and provides a smooth drawing experience with good stylus control. After checking reviews and user feedback, I’ve narrowed it down to these two options:
XP-Pen Drawing Tablet

https://www.amazon.com/XPPen-Magic-Drawing-Pad/dp/B0CRD6J83V?th=1

it has Features of a 10×6.25-inch drawing area with 8192 levels of pressure sensitivity for precise digital drawing.Includes a battery-free stylus with 60° tilt support and customizable shortcut keys for smoother workflow.
PicassoTab X11 Drawing Tablet

https://www.amazon.com/X11-Drawing-Tablet-Picasso-Tab/dp/B0D1BYSYLH?th=1

it comes with an 11-inch Full HD display and 4096 pressure-sensitive stylus for natural drawing strokes.A standalone tablet with 6 GB RAM, 128 GB storage, and Android system, so it works without connecting to a computer.

Both seem like good choices, but I’m not sure which one would be better for beginners or regular digital drawing. If anyone has experience with either of these tablets, I’d really appreciate your thoughts on drawing accuracy, ease of use, and overall performance. Thanks in advance

Absolutely avoid Picasso. And the best tablets (but with horror price tags) come from Wacom.
XP-Pen is okay and good for the price, nothing more.

As far as I know, their CPU performance is very poor.

I don’t know how much Samsung Android tablets cost where you are, but in my area, Samsung Android tablets at the same price have CPU performance far superior to theirs.

If, like me, you don’t like active capacitive styluses, I recommend Samsung Android tablets.

In fact, the Wacom MovinkPad 11 also has very poor CPU performance, and the price is not cheap.

Argh! You got me! And you are right! But the question was not about cheap but best.
But I missed that this is about standalone Android hardware I dislike. For me and my old brain a drawing tablet is a dedicated graphics tablet connected to a PC, not a mobile device which offers the ability to draw.

But in this case, I wouldn’t buy any of these and option for a 2-in-1 Notebook using Linux, macOS or Windows. Although 2-in-1s have drawbacks too, but not that hard, I find. And then there Windows is probably the best choice if you’re willing to bear with their AI dirt (which also Apple & Google will throw at you). Because on Windows, you can use Android apps, you have access to a powerful Linux platform via the Linux subsystem if you want, AND - most importantly - you don’t have to deal with an Android that’s constantly being stripped down and stripped of its features, and you can use Krita to its full extent rather than just partially, since the Android version can’t do many things. And when I think about the poor users we had to tell that their Android obviously does no longer allow this or that, then I always felt extremely sad about this fact and Googles arrogance. As an example I can name that color schemes can no longer be additionally imported by some, this was no problem with earlier versions of Android.

But if someone thinks they have to buy an Android, then this is their decision, and they have to deal with the consequences, the current and those that will come over them.
With iPads, they would always get better hardware but not Krita, but with said 2-in-1 hardware they have a huge bandwidth in performance they can decide for, they can choose their OS and have options with emulation/virtualization for more. The only point for Android is, if you don’t have the money, there is always an extremely cheap Android - if you will be happy with it in the long run is another question.

do you need the display ? I have a 14yod wacom intuos, still doing great. I had another wacom with screen and it died after 6years and honestly the screen color sucked so I had to use a seperate monitor.
PS: I’ve been a pro animator for 12years, yes you can work on screenless tablet, it’s a learning curve but in the end it’s better for your body.

PPS : I meant to reply to original poster but I’m dumb lol

@nehao I’ve used the XP Pen for forever :star_struck: it doesn’t break easily, it loads quickly, and it was awesome display. Can’t say anything about the other one, however. Hope I’ve helped you! Let me know which one you choose!

Also if you want to use a screenless one, the XP Pen Star G640 works awesome. :smiling_face_with_three_hearts:

I vote for huion to be a good alternative if you don’t want wacom.

Yep, as long as I can’t afford a Wacom, I would go for Huion. The Huion tablets impressed me the most in terms of functionality, quality, and reliability. But XP-Pen would be a close second.

A little late to answer…
I got the xp-pen magic notepad. It’s very nice to draw on, and I think the drawing pad would be better with the slightly larger screen and I think it has more RAM too.
I prefer xp-pens pen over the samsung s-pen; tilt is not as great but it feels nicer in my hand and on the screen (and the nibs won’t wear down as fast as an s-pen with matte screen protector). I assume the drawing pad will have the same advantages.

If money is no issue, I’d go with the wacom movinkpad 14 pro. Drawing experience is great, even compared to the xp-pen. And it runs Krita a bit better, most noticeable in startup time and very large brushes. Plus the screensize makes a differense.
I’ve read the movinkpad 11 is a bit sluggish and the price is quite high, the xp-pen drawing pad seems to rank higher in most comparing reviews. I’ve never tried the drawing pad or the movinkpad 11 though.

Never even heard of the picasso.

The links provided by the OP (original poster) don’t work for me anymore, so here is the new link for the first one: Amazon.com: XPPen Magic Drawing Pad 12.2 Inch Standalone Drawing Tablet No Computer Needed with 16384 Pressure Levels X3 Pro Slim Stylus Tilt Support Paper-Like Screen 8GB + 256GB for Digital Drawing Artists : Electronics

Speaking of XPPen tablets, here’s the Amazon store in question:
