Brush/ cursor disappearing after selecting a brush from the pop up pallet

Brand and version of the device: Huion Kamvas 16 Pro
System** : Windows 10 version 10.0.19043

On the Huion pen there is a button which is = right mouse click. So I right click with my pen on the canvas to get the PUP (pop-up pallet) to appear. I select a brush from the pallet and the pallet disappears and I’m left with which ever brush I chose. Great!

HOWEVER, occasionally when I select a brush from the PUP, not only does the PUP disappear (as it should) but so does my brush/ cursor and the only way for me to be able to make a mark on the canvas again is if I press the right click button on my pen again. No other buttons (even my mouse) that I could find would bring back the brush/ cursor on the canvas.

A few notes:

1. This only effects the canvas. When I move my cursor off the canvas it reappears (both with pen and mouse).
2. This issue does not happen when I select brushes from the PUP with my mouse. It appears to be an issue only with the huion pen.
3. It seems to happen at random. I can not discern any patterns.

Hi - I’ve been watching this post but I’m afraid I don’t have anything constructive to add other than to ask if this behaviour happens with every brush or just certain brushes? But that’s just me grasping at ideas…

Hey thanks for the reply Sooz! I love your style.

I actually think I just figured it out! Went searching through the settings and I turned on the setting “Use mouse events for right- and middle-clicks” (settings > configure krita > tablet settings). I still don’t fully understand what that setting does but it seems to have fixed the problem.
