I tried implementing a Brush Preview based on the requests from this post: Brush Preview - Feature Request - #14 by Voronwe13
It includes a dedicated Brush Preview docker (showing the brush tip and stroke side-by-side) as well as a new Brush Preview display mode inside the Brush Presets docker.
Did you talk with @Ciubix about this? I thought she started to work on the MR. 
Exactly that is what @Ciubix mentioned very recently about this feature here in the forum.

I haven’t kept up with the forum much recently, so I missed that there was already another MR 
. If her implementation is superior just skip mine
The important thing here is the code, id be really interested to see how you implemented it. But yea, im (hopefully) almost done with this MR
More hands are always welcome! Just communicate better next time 
A MR between your two versions has to be very interesting
