Brush sinosoidal jitter

I was working on a couple of new brushes and noticed I cant find a way to make pixel engine brushes to makes jitter like a sinoidal wave. Scatter kinda mashes stamps everywhere instead. is there a way to make wavy lines I am not finding? Maybe a parameter I am ignoring.

I do not think there is an option like that, I may be wrong. However it does sound useful.

I haven’t played with it yet to test it, but one thought would be to make a version of the brushtip you want where the tip is off-center, then have the rotation change with either time or distance (probably distance).

a sine of cos is the value of the projection of the rotation over time.
if I just make the rotation it will be distorted as there will be sections it will be going to fast and others going to slow, this would open and close the wave considering the rotation no? Also this would complicate the rotation of the brush to keep the stamp aligned to the direction of the stroke.

Actually more like a stretched spiral. Is it an epicycloid or something that sounds like that?

I wanted to do something more like this. Time here would be the location of the stroke.

In theory, you could do it with an animated brush .gih but you’d need lots of carefully placed ‘tip’ images, with horizontal sinusoidal displacement and also tip rotation by drawing angle, to get good resolution along the stroke.

For Amplitude I would have to scale the stamp scale also. I am not sure if it would fully work.
The Ideal would have pressure affect the amplitude. low pressure would go closer to a straight line.
Also changing Texture would force making a new animation offset every time, a function to offset would just be easier to setup. I would have to make a full rig perhaps and still have badish results in the end.
