I’m not new to Krita but I just downloaded version 4.4.3 on my new computer and when I enabled the stabilization brush smoothing, my cursor has an offset when I use my tablet. (the cursor is not centered in the center of the delay circle.) Is there a setting to change this?
This only happens when I use my tablet not with mouse.
If your previous computer is still working, you may want to migrate your configuration files and your resources folder over to the new computer.
This will give you the familiar config/settings and any personal resources you may have made or imported and are used to.
It may be that the old computer is set to use Wintab and the new one is using Windows Ink, or something like that.
Also, when you installed the tablet driver on the new computer and set up ther tablet, did you make sure to compare the new computer settings with the old computer settings to make them exactly the same?
Can you post a screenshot the show the offset of the cursor from the centre of the delay circle? Please use a brush preset like Basic-2 Opacity to give a circular brush outline and set it to a small size.
Do you see any other differences when using the tablet compared to using the mouse?
When I installed Krita and the tablet driver I did it the same way I did on my old computer. I never messed with the settings so I’m not sure why it would act differently on the new computer.
I apologize for the photo quality! But I had to take a photo with my phone because the tablet cursor doesn’t show up in a screenshot.
Migrating is quite easy. I’ll assume you’re using Windows:
Config files are in …\AppData\Local and are called ‘krita(something)’. You can copy them all over from your old system to your new system but don’t migrate ‘kritacrash.log’, ‘krita.log’ or ‘krita-sysinfo’, for obvious reasons.
The resources folder is …\AppData\Roaming\krita and you can copy it over to your new computer.
If you have a new monitor with a different size and/or aspect ratio, any personal workspaces you’ve made may need some adjustment to suit your liking.
Just to be clear, is the monoprice tablet a display tablet or just a drawing tablet?
