Currently, there is no way to create a brush in Krita that automatically paints a stroke with both a fill and an outline (for example, a white fill with a black border). The only workarounds are using vector tools like the Freehand Path Tool or applying layer styles to existing strokes, which is not always convenient or practical for freehand drawing.
I understand that implementing this would require some kind of post-processing or stroke‑level processing, which the current brush engine doesn’t support out of the box. However, maybe this could be added as a new brush engine (e.g., a “Shape Brush” with fill and stroke settings) or as an optional setting within existing tools.
Such a feature would be incredibly useful for comic art, calligraphy, UI design, and any situation where clean outlined shapes are needed. Even a simple mode where the brush draws a thick colored line and then applies a contrasting outline around it would be a huge time‑saver.
If this has been suggested before, please consider this a +1. I’d love to see this functionality in a future release.
Thanks for considering!
