[bug] input stuck if Krita window is focused with key held down

How to reproduce

Click on desktop so Krita is unfocused

Hold down space bar and stylus click on krita’s canvas at the same time

Release space bar and pen

Space is stuck.

Press space again fix it.

Can you reproduce this bug or is it just me?

No, I cannot reproduce that on Windows 10 with Krita 5.1-prealpha.

Try pressing space and click at the same time with a very short duration.

I can still reproduce on 5.1 prealpha.

no problem for me with the 5.1 prealpha, i can’t reproduce it.

I doubt this has been fixed on 5. This bug exists for several years by now. I can’t even recall when I started to have this. Still have not tested it on 5 but will take a look.

Hi guys. i’m someone who jumps around the canvas pretty rapidly, and i noticed this bug in 4.4.2 and above (does not happen in 4.4.1) that Krita will (pretty regularly) stop recognising that Spacebar is held down when making rapid panning/zooming movements, resulting in the color picker being activated (if CTRL is pressed down), or the tool in use before spacebar was pressed (usually the brush tool in my case). anyone else experience this? it makes using 4.4.2 very frustrating for me. i manage to replicate it.

Krita 5.1 prealpha build from Sep17

Space + pen tap the release at the same time.
Though mine only does it after i put my pen back the first time [after the spacebar +tap] then draws if i lift the pen for even a little then draws again it goes to normal.

What i notice when i replicate: its when the spacebar is press while the cursor is till arrow and not brush right at the pen tap.

since i always lift my pen right after i activate krita [a habit] - i barely notice it.

Maybe is related to this bug: Bug 438784

Overall Krita on Windows is having this issue with modifiers keys, if you enable the Log Viewer docker you should see the message: WARNING: modifiers state became inconsistent! Trying to fix that...

Replicated with success.

Also holding Space and Spamming Ctrl will occasionally give you the Color Picker instead of Zoom.

Hello I wonder if this behavior is also part of this bug.

Right Click > Popup pallet > pick color > click on canvas to draw > cant draw or color / brush outline not visible > right click again to activate brush outline. [sometimes it activates by lifting the pen up a bit]
