I created this illustration for an animal welfare organisation www.vgt.at It’s part of a social media campaign to help stop the capture of these birds. In Austria, they’re caught just for fun and displayed in competitions. Wild animals belong in the wild, not in cages!

In winter, many bullfinches come to our area, but no one bothers them; on the contrary, we hang feeders to help these beautiful birds survive the harsh Russian winter.
