Add a particular tag to all resources where it was present by default in Krita/or the existing bundle from which the new Bundle is created. (present in current Tag Selector in Bundle Creator)
View the list of selected tags for a resource type (present in current Tag Selector in Bundle Creator)
Add custom tags for a particular resource (Similar to what the + button does in Resource Manager’s tag selector)
Select a particular resource of a resource type and view what tags it has (Similar to Resource Manager).
In short. I want to have want the Embed Tags in Bundle creator does as well as add a feature to add or remove tags from a particular resource item (Something similar to Resource Manager).
One not very good solution I had in mind was to split these two functionality into 2 pages. One would be Choose Tags and the other Edit Tags. Something like this. But this would spoil the idea of keeping one functionality in one page.
This sounds like a good idea, I’ll keep this in mind. You can continue suggesting such minor improvements (these are important), and I’ll incorporate these once the new Bundle Creators works fine.
Sorry I have been rather busy, couldn’t respond earlier.
I haven’t done enough brush creation to make an informed decision on this. Maybe @Rakurri, @Deevad, @wojtryb or @RamonM have an idea on this? Or could at least tell you what could be improved about it.
I’m thinking a list view with two rows per brush. The first is the brush thumbnail + name on the right, the second row is smaller, placed below the first one and contains just the tags for this brush. Unlike the resource manager, you get to see all tags and brushes in the same place. I think that the tags should then also be those buttons with a , so you can easily remove one.
I’m thinking this should be in the second row below the info on the brush. For tags, that would make it most convenient, because it does display the tags for each resource and you don’t need to select it first. You could opt to add a display filter that allows you to show brushes with certain tag(s) in which all tags are listed and you have a checkmark to show all resources with a particular tag or to exclude them. And a button to reset the filter to show all. So basically, below the resource filtering, you have two buttons: one to filter by tag and one to reset the filters.
If you click on filter tags, you get this pop-up:
The X is the button.
Maybe I confused you, but what I meant was I need a way to embed tags. I think what you are suggesting is more like adding tags to a particular resource item, which is also another requirement. But embedding tags is different. Maybe you can check out Bundle Creator’s Embed Tags option once, I think you’ll understand better. I think I might confuse you if I try to explain.
I just have a small concern regarding this, wouldn’t this make the listview look a bit too cluttered?
Can bundles support more types of resources? For example, a vector library? There are many types of resources in krita that cannot be placed in bundles…
In addition, I personally believe that a “list” page is needed to display all resources in the list, so that users can easily know what content is in the bundle without switching resource categories
I need to talk to the devs about this before I can confirm. I have heard similar requests earlier as well. Would be happy to work on this once I’m done with bundle editing.
I still haven’t worked on this. I spent the last 2 months redesigning the bundle creator’s user interface. And the next 2 months I would be working on editing bundles. I’m afraid it might take some time to work on this.
Regarding this, one possible solution is to change the summary. Currently it just displays the number of selected resource items per resource type, and all the selected tags. Would you like to suggest a few ideas on improving that part? You might want to look at this post (only the gif) to see how it looks right now.
@Srirupa_Datta, no matter how it comes and how far you get, don’t let us drive you and do your work the way you imagine and planned. And how you can best manage your workflow, you know best yourself, a completed bundle creator, with the features that the time available allows you to implement, helps us more than an unfinished construction site with highly ambitious projects that could not all be implemented due to lack of time. Or in short, implement what you can realistically do in the short time! What you’ve shown us so far is stunning and awesome!
I don’t have any special suggestions for it, just need it to be able to display all the resources at once and classify them. Perhaps adding tags would be very useful, ultimately similar to watching pictures in Digikam.
