Can not save to WebP "Error occured"

With the usual File → Import Video Animation function, there’s an option in Advanced to specify the ffprobe path.
Maybe that, or something similar, needs to be set to the ffprobe from the standalone ffmpeg package that you recently downloaded? (ask @Grum999)

WebP: vukky.webp

Ok, for what I see, the plugin is not able to recognize the file format, so, he doesn’t try to open it’s own import dialog box:

And directly ask Krita to open file.
That’s why there’s a Krita dialog box instead of a plugin dialog box.

On my side plugin is able to read file:

And krita is also able to open file:

Which appimage version did you use?

(HELP I GOT REPLY LIMITED ;w;)

How did you Render to .webp with 4.4.8?

Oh heck - I’ve just realised, we’re not talking about animations… :relaxed:
It’s a static image.

I’m able to open file with Krita 4.4.8 appimage

I currently don’t understand why on your side it doesn’t work…

I have to install a VM with a fresh debian to test if it could be related to a library installed on my computer or not…

Currently I have these libraries installed:

Maybe they can have an impact and allows me to read webp files properly :man_shrugging:

I have the same libwebp packages and can Open that .webp file with the 4.4.8 appimage.

As a workaround for this limitation, you can, for example, edit your last post and append your replies below.
May be not nice, but should work.

I didn’t saw this help message

@raghukamath is there a possibility to increase reply limit for new users?
Don’t know current limit, but I’m pretty sure that if this limit is increased, it should be ok

I tried on my computer that has Linux Mint 20.2, using appimage 4.4.8, I see no issue with saving or loading regular webp files (via file open/save)

To confirm, you are able to save other formats in the same directory? (to be sure it isn’t a permissions error)

Try in terminal:
export QT_LOGGING_RULES="krita*=true"; and then run the appimage in terminal and see if there are any issues.

You can also try downloading Krita 5.0 beta as mentioned. And see if it works there. You can export it regularly there, or as animation (by adding 1 keyframe and just saving it as 1 frame)

If neither works, it might be a driver issue. What is your hardware like?

I increased it slightly, If it doesn’t hurt in a month I’ll double it.
