There are even a few already existing lace-brushes as well as brushes that can be relatively easy adapted for painting laces. But I guess one has to adapt one or more of these brushes to get results that suit one’s special needs, at least I do imagine that the existing brushes may not have the patterns one has in mind for a project.
But for lace as perfect as the examples from @YRH we maybe need new inventions in the brush-sector?
@wolthera’s preset sfx lace test is found in her bundle: Wolthera_SFX_Pack_1_1.bundle
@fizzyflower’s presets Essential Details Lace1, Essential Details Lace2, Essential Details Lace3, Essential Details Lace4 and more can be found in her fantastic FizzyFlower’s “ESSENTIAL” Brushset VERSION 2 star with 400+ Brushes ((Cloud, Paint, Hair, Fur, FX, Foilage, Trees, Leaves, Texture, Smudge, and more!), you could download it via Gumroad, where you could donate her any amount you like, if you like, and if you don’t, you can get it also for free, just enter 0 as the amount you are willing to pay for this huge set of brushes for nearly everything. An additional download location would be Google Drive and there it is also free of charge.
Pablo Cazorla’s (aka Cazu) presets Speedpaint Lace 1, Speedpaint Lace 2, Speedpaint Lace 3, from a bundle I created from the many loose resource-collections he offered between 2013 and 2016 under CC BY-SA 3.0*&**, with, by the way, many other brushes that at least I like. The Krita 3 Default Resources.bundle must be activated in Krita via ‘‘Settings’’ >> ‘‘Manage Resource Libraries…’’ >> ‘‘Activate’’, in case you haven’t activated this bundle so far, in order to make this bundle fully functional (at least I hope it is still fully functional
).
Add/Edit: Sorry, I had forgotten to add the link to this bundle:
@Lilly_Mist’s presets LM Border spiral (staight line), LM Border wave (staight line), from her bundle Lilly Mist`s special brushes should be suitable too.
As well as the presets, Aura Random 01 and Aura Random 02 from our forum member @AureliaLeta’s Bundle Painting set for Krita by AuraNed should be easy adaptable to use them as lace brushes.
Here you can see what brushes are already available, and perhaps get an idea of what is possible at the moment. From left to right or top to bottom, I have used the same order as the brushes are listed above (but the picture is scaled down):
As PNG in original resolution it can be viewed and downloaded here and the original KRA-File is found here.

Add/Edit: @Fall_The_Odd: As already said above, I had forgotten to link to Pablo Cazorla’s bundle, this is now fixed. Sorry for the inconvenience! ![]()
