Can the Transform:Scale aspect ratio lock be made to remember its state?

Hello I am new here but I use the program for a long time, I am interested in the question how can I put in the resize settings of the selected save the proportion (I have to do it in the settings of the tool, and I want it always until I myself do not change it)?

Hello and welcome to the forum

What you are doing and what you need are not clear from your post.

Which tool or filter are you using?
Can you upload a screenshot of the Tool Options docker or any tool/filter related window that appears when you use the tool/filter?
Or, what menu sequence do you use?

Also, it would be useful to know which version (number) of krita and which operating system you’re using.

every time you have to click to keep the proportions, and I want to switch like in Photoshop when you need it

I don’t know how Photoshop works but it may be a good idea to have this switch remember its state, at least within a session and possibly between sessions.

Other people, especially developers, will be able to discuss this with you.

I’ll change the category of your topic to Develop - Feature Requests.
Edit:Add: I changed the title as well.

Agreed that the option should be remembered if it doesn’t do that already. As an option for your scenario does holding shift while resizing alleviate you problem? If you press and hold shift while resizing it will scale proportionally.

As far as I remember this was the initial behaviour of photoshop and only in photoshop cc 2019 and 2020 they made scale proportional to be default and shift key to make it non proportional, with obvious push back from old timers.

I actually have a merge request that makes all tools remember all settings, but it’s a bit too rough and ready to merge – we need a proper implementation instead.

Maybe in the meantime, make constrained proportions the default for the transform tool? I don’t know about others but 9/10 times when resizing things for me it needs to be proportional. The 1/10 times that they are not proportional, I generally use the free transform and align it to some edge, not a precise number.

You see, because of my disability it is difficult for me to use my left hand, for this reason I only use my right hand
