Can you map sensors input to an expresskey or similar devices' rotary button?

The last sensor listed in the doc, tangential pressure, is supposed to work with “wheel on airbrush-simulating styli.” Wouldn’t this also work with a rotary button (the forum doesn’t let me post the word kn0b btw, what’s up with that)? Or is it for the two people in the world using airbrush styli ?

I know people usually uses the kn0b to adjust brush size, but this is not what I am looking for.

As long as you can remap the input sent to match, there is no reason why not.

You can’t do it in Krita but a program like xinput probably can. Something that can simulate low level input signals.

In some English dialects it’s a euphemism for a male body part that I probably also can’t mention. Excessive automatic censoring is pretty silly imo.

I don’t wanna buy the device to find out it doesn’t map to sensors, this is why I ask.

Concretely, how would this work? How do you set xinput so that it send sensor inputs to krita?

Yeah it was on the watched words. I think it is fairly harmless so I have removed it. @yaboober You can write knob now.
