Every since the new update the font properties has been extremely flaky. Now it’s stopped working entirely, no matter what font I choose from the drop down-menu it uses the default font with the outer glow effect. The only thing I can adjust is font size, I have no styles or presets saved. I’ve uninstalled and reinstalled, nothing works.

Edit: I found in an old reddit thread that back in 2022 you guys no longer support package managers. Maybe place that somewhere in your downloads section to save yourselves the headache of having to explain it here in the forums. I’ll try the appimage in the meantime to see if my issue’s resolved.
If i remember correctly this is a qt6 bug, try the 5.3.x appimage instead
You are correct, the appimage works. Not happy I can’t have Krita installed with the rest of my programs so I have to launch it from my cluttered Downloads folder from now on, but it lets me get back to work today so I’ll take it.
You can integrate AppImages into the system like any other application. The AppImageLauncher tool makes this especially easy. I’m pretty sure it was installed by default on my CachyOS (if not it should be in AUR, make sure you install the latest version, I think its 3 or later because it Krita Appimage needs the latest FUSE lib). IN any Case there is no reason why you cant start it from other locations that is not the Downloads folder.
I use Plasma on my linux and put my krita appimages into their own folder. I then use the menu editor to create an icon in my start / graphics menu folder. and set a keyboard shortcut to start krita.
So simple, I didn’t even need technical support to get it done. lol
