Description of the issue (you can include screenshots): im very sorry if this went the wrong place but im unable to even create a new canvas to draw on in the mobile app, i tried switching to landscape mode and upright but it wont let me scroll either way (i tried with 1 and 2 fingers, even tried to zoom in/out) the screenshots attached are all that i have access to including ofc the homescreen when opening the app.
Thank you kindly

This will sound weird, but you can try this: try tapping some of the menu items like settings, or file. I have had to do this a couple of times.

Yeah tried that, didnt work
(Just tried again too)
I cant even click on file or edit or layers while trying to create a new canvas

Ugh. I’m sure I saw someone deal with this recently. I’ll do some searching.

Are you able to click on the settings menu to open “configure Krita?”

If not, can you get into Krita by opening an existing Krita file via the file manager and then, once inside Krita, open Settings > Configure Krita > General > Window and then see if "Enable HiDPI support is checked. Uncheck it and then restart Krita.

Am I seeing this correctly that you’re using it on a phone? Because it has the aspect ratio I know from phones, not so much from handheld tablets.

Exactly that:

@TheRegalSystem:
Krita Android is not supported on phones, even if you can install it on a few. There are a few users who managed it to modify and minimize the UI of Krita that it got usable on a phone, but that is something you really have to want and have to implement for yourself, so it may be possible to adapt it to your needs depending on the effort you want to invest.

To bypass your issue, I just created four empty canvases with DIN A3 & DIN A4 format in landscape and portrait orientation and Krita’s recommended RGB/A colorspace.
Just unzip them on your device, and if you want to begin a new picture create a copy from one of them which you then open with Krita.

Oh my gosh, I missed that important detail (phone).

Oh i appreciate this help but i cant seem to open any of these, and also i am very new to all this jargon so i understood like 50% of all this im sorry

I tried to do as you said! This is how far i got in, (pic)

@TheRegalSystem I missed it when you reported that you’re trying to use Krita on a phone. As a couple of people have already noted, that is not possible.

Some here have indeed adjusted Krita to be used on the phone. See what @AxelFar has done in these posts:
