Can't import a .bundle file on Galaxy Tab

I’ve created this topic to deal with a particular problem that should be a separate topic from where it was originally reported:

@loveseeleee I downloaded the bundle from the Ko-Fi link then imported the 2.1 bundle with Settings → Manage Resource Libraries → Import and they appeared in the list of bundles on the left.
Then they were visible in the Layers docker with a Tag selection of ‘Rakkuri’.

So, what did you do and what happened and what problems do you have?

It literally opens like this when i download

im a samsung tab a8 user

You seem to have opened the .bundle file using whatever archive/zip utility is available on your Samsung Tab, in order to look inside it. You don’t need to do that.

What you need to do, inside krita when it’s running, is to do as I said in my earlier reply.
You Import the .bundle file by doing:
Settings → Manage Resource Libraries → Import and then select the .bundle file for import.

If you have any difficulty in doing that, you can provide a screenshot at every step of the way to show what’s happening with you.
Do you know how to find the Settings item in krita? I think it’s the ‘hamburger’ menu.

Yep, just as @AhabGreybeard wrote, you have to select the “RakurriBrushSetV2.1for Krita.bundle (1)” out of Krita’s resource-management, in order to import it.
Currently, >> you are in the bundle. <<

If you want to pass it to Krita from Android, you’d probably need a special file manager like “Total Commander”, then you’d have to navigate into Krita’s resources folder and copy it to the “bundles” folder. I can not tell it for sure, but it is even possible that you would need a rooted Android to do this from the OS side (from Android) as Google is nailing Android down more and more, apparently Google is paranoid when it comes to empowered users.
So it will be much easier to follow the way @AhabGreybeard described.

Is total commander a app?

Total Commander is an app but you don’t need it. You need the Krita app which is available in the Google Play Store.
Do you have the Krita app installed on your galaxy Tab?
If you do, please start it and take a screenshot then upload it here.

Yes, Total Commander is an App, you can get it free of charge in the Play Store. But you have to know where in the Android-file-system Krita stores its resources.
But believe us to import your bundle, it is better to follow @AhabGreybeard’s way.

In your Krita for Android you have to find and enter the menu ‘‘Settings’’, I guess it is hidden behind (in) the menu represented through 3 stacked dots in the title-bar of your Krita. If you have found this menu you have to open the sub-menu “Manage Resource Libraries” and there click on the button + Import.

Glad to see the great and helpful responses on this!
(Also thank you people for helping out, I’ve been quite busy the last days)

@loveseeleee, if you got a current Krita 5.x it should offer this menu bar →

If you got this menu bar, then enter the menu ‘‘Settings’’ there click on ‘‘Manage Resource Libraries’’ and in the opening dialog click + Import and browse to the bundle “RakurriBrushSetV2.1for Krita.bundle (1)” select it, confirm the selection and then Krita imports it.

If you are still using Krita 4.x, it might look like this →

I don’t know what you will get after clicking the three-dots-menu, but I think there you will find a button or menu that allows you to add the menu-bar or that allows you to access the menus directly from there.

But however it will be in there, in principle you have to do similar things to those described above for Krita 5. One thing that can be different is the name “Manage Resource Libraries”, but it will be very similar to this, and in Krita 4 there is only one option leading you to the resources.

This is my screen

This happens when i try do download it with zip

@loveseeleee You need a file that ends in .bundle. Can you take a look at the file name?

What do you mean by “download it with zip”?
You’ve already downloaded it and it’s in your Downloads folder as a .bundle file.
What does zip have to do with it?

Also, looking at your screenshot, you’ve previously Imported other bundles such as Rakurri Brush Set V2.0 and Deevad-bundle_23-01.
So, how did you Import those?

@loveseeleee: The filename accepted by Krita must end in “*.bundle”, so here the correct filename accepted by Krita would be ‘‘RakurriBrushSetV2.1for Krita.bundle’’, without the quotes of course. This → ‘‘RakurriBrushSetV2.1for Krita.bundle (1)’’, probably with an additional extension like .zip, .rar or .7z will not work in Krita. → e.g. Krita will never accept ‘‘RakurriBrushSetV2.1for Krita.bundle (1).zip’’.

Now this is just speculation, but possibly the browser used for the download has received an update by Google or the browser manufacturer and the bundles now get the ZIP filename extension forcibly added, if the Android file manager would suppress the display of these filename extensions, just like Explorer in Windows, then the display in the screenshot would explain itself. Also, that behind ‘‘RakurriBrushSetV2.1for Krita.bundle’’ still this one in brackets is displayed, e.g. ‘’(1)‘’, so in total ‘‘RakurriBrushSetV2.1for Krita.bundle (1)’’ because it does not belong behind the filename extension, but in front of the filename extension.

On the other hand, even if it explained the behavior, this is too many ifs and buts for me.

@loveseeleee How did you do it?
What was the problem?
How did you fix the problem?

Your answers to those questions would be very helpful for anyone else who may have this problem in future.
