Canvas freezes when I lift my pen

I recently downloaded krita and every stroke I do with my pen the cursor keeps freezing at the end of each stroke. I can only move my cursor again if I tab out of krita.

 Hello @BadAtKrita, and welcome to the forum!

Please tell us the version of Windows, 8.1, 10, 11, and Krita you are using, also, hoping you are not using one of those 2-in-1 notebooks, we would need the manufacturer and exact model name of your graphics tablet, and if it is such a 2-in-1-device, we need its data too, so manufacturer and model.

In the hope that you are using a graphics tablet, please try to find a setting in the driver software of your graphics tablet that says that you use or don’t use the function “WindowsInk” when you select it (depending on the manufacturer the description may differ), and set it so that you DO NOT USE “WindowsInk”, accept this setting and confirm this in the driver software, usually this is done via the OK button.
Now you have to select in Krita via ‘‘Settings’’ >> ‘‘Configure Krita’’ >> ‘‘Tablet Settings’’ the setting ‘‘WinTab’’ if ‘‘Windows 8+ Pointer Input (Windows Ink)’’ should be selected instead. You have to confirm this with OK as well, then quit Krita and restart Krita to apply the settings. With a bit of luck it works now, if not please get back to us with the information requested above and briefly describe what you have tried so far and where you got stuck.

Addition: It is possible that I can not get back to today, it would be nice if someone could take over here, so in case of continuing difficulties for BadAtKrita.
