Hi guys I collected canvas, watercolour and paper textures in JPEG and PNG. I got these from downloading it at procreate and artstudio forum for FREE.

Hi, I’m asking because I don’t know. How do I place these textured images in Krita? Do I insert them and draw on top of them?

First import these files into Krita as patterns if the existing ones are not sufficient.
Then, to use them, create a fill layer, select the desired pattern in the dialog that opens and set its blend mode to “Overlay”, place this layer above all layers that should show this effect. If you only want to apply it to individual objects, you can use masks or groups, for example.
