Change default cursor size for brush? (Default is too large)

I made a few pencil brushes, and since the brush size varies a lot I noticed that the “resting” cursor size is a lot larger than most of the strokes I make. This makes it harder to do more precise strokes, since it is less clear where the line is going to start from.

The reason why this happens, I guess, is that these brushes I created were designed for making very thin strokes with a very light touch, while also allowing larger strokes when applying more pressure from time to time. The default cursor size however shows the cursor with a larger (largest?) size than what I’d usually use on the canvas.

I was wondering if there was an option to set the “default” cursor size for the brush. What I mean is, for example, setting a percentual of the max size as the default cursor size, which would be closer to the actual position of the brush on the canvas.

Since I know this is probably going to come up, I’ve also tested using various pointers for the center of the brush, but I find that I don’t like any of them, and much prefer to see the brush cursor itself instead of a dot or cross.

You can adjust the size in the brush editer first/main screen then just save as a custom named brush or overwrite the default brush.

Maybe I’m not understanding your question.

hello, that’s not what I mean, I was talking about the cursor that hovers on the canvas when you move the pen around, not the actual brush stroke

If i understand correctly i don’t think there is a way to change. What happens is that the brush outline will always show the brush size as selected in size slider, once you start drawing it will reduce to a more accurate size
