IF YOU ARE SHARING YOUR ART ON ANY SOCIAL MEDIA PLATFORM (INSTAGRAM, TWITTER, FACEBOOK, PINTEREST, ETC.) OR SELLING YOUR ART, THIS VIDEO IS FOR YOU.
Today I would like to show you why I personally do not use the Google image search engine.
I don’t, because all images I end up liking are not free to use. What I want, are images that are not in any way restricted or copyrighted.
I understand that many of you love Google images!
So, I decided to show you how you can SAFELY use it and find out which images are licensed or free to use. The last thing you want to happen to you is being sued for copying or modifying an image/idea/concept without permission.
For those of you who like to play it safe like me, towards the end of this tutorial I’ll show you which royalty-free image websites I use the most.
Below, are the links to the websites I mentioned in the video:
Chapters:
00:00 Introduction.
01:01 Google Images: Let’s start with the tags. Did you even notice them?
01:44 Sorting Images: Size, Color, Type, Time & Usage Rights.
02:20 Google Images: Regarding the tag “Product” WATCH OUT! Images may still be subject to copyright.
02:53 Google Images: Creative Commons Licenses (what it is and how to find the details of a license).
04:04 Google Images: Commercial & Other Licenses (what it is and showing you one example).
04:44 Exceptions.
05:04 Free Images & Royalty-Free Stock Websites you can use instead of Google Images.
05:38 Those sites offer more than just images!
06:14 Conclusion (telling you about next tutorial).
Please make sure to tell me what your favorite website is. I’ll see you next Monday.
Happy painting. ![]()
