okay so these are the GMIC FXs I played around with to end up with that result.
this thread inspired me to fiddle with GMIC to see what I could come up with
Ink Wash
Abstraction
Chromatic Aberations
Fill Holes
Jpr Gradient (to get the contour to look gel-like) I will try and post a video to show my process here. But I think just playing around with those FX you can probably get similar results. the main idea is to have busy lines that follow the curves of each letter that you then tweak and smooth out.
a good starting base could be to use URW bookman font (demi) then use dreamy abstraction to make contour of text rounder
then use Hard paint in gmic to make inside look like this:
then duplicate it and try different blend modes like geometric mean, and make a few such duplications
two other steps i like
lylek stencil with low amplitude (1) sharpness (12) and radius (1.2)
MM Differences set to erosion size1 small and try a chrominance channel
