I really need this feature, to be able to work with Krita proffesionally. Is there hope for this function to be implemented ? I would really love it…

Krita is Open Source so you can always hope that someone comes along and implements this. However “clone brush preview” is a bit lacking as a specification for someone who wants to implement this. How is the feature supposed to work and look like? What does it different than the current clone brush/layer?

As @Takiro already said, you should describe in more detail what you exactly want. With your very broad demand, someone could develop a feature/function that may not meet your expectations of the feature to develop. How should it display the preview, should it be switchable, have adjustment options?
By the way, and because you mentioned professional work, so a kind of work that usually generates some kind of income, there could be a way you may not have thought about so far:
I know of at least two users of this forum who use Krita professionally, and who commissioned a few needed functions and improvements in Krita and had these functions developed at their own expense. Without knowing where the respective work was commissioned, I can only say that these users have achieved their goals with the results achieved in this way, and at least one of them continued to use Krita productively even recently, on their last visit here in the forum (and if I had to guess, they will work with Krita also in the future).
So you don’t always have to rely on others or wait for others, within certain limits you can take matters into your own hands. As already mentioned by @Takiro, Krita is Open Source Software (OSS), so it is easy compared to the closed source software of the well known corporations.
I can’t say where this work was commissioned, but if I had to commission such work, I would try to commission it in India, the Philippines or China, as there are well-trained programmers with English language skills (communication) in these countries, usually at very good prices. And there will certainly be other countries where you can find such programmers.

I would like it , just like it was proposed 4 years ago by fonkle, which is close to the Photoshop functionality… You can fast-forward to 1:05 min…

Ah I see, makes perfect sense to have this as an option. Especially useful when the clone source is out of sight.
