Color Picker while using Brush Tool

Hi,

I’m using 4.4.3 and have noticed a difference in the colors while using the color selector tool vs holding ctrl with the brush tool.

I use Ctrl while using Freehand Brush Tool (B) to quickly color pick. I’ve noticed that while holding ctrl that it is sampling all visible layers. Even if I have the color selector tool to only sample the current layer, while on brush mode with ctrl it continues to select all visible layers.

I would like to have the option to sample only the current layer when I hold ctrl to sample with brush tool - is this possible or am I overlooking something? Thanks,

By default, sampling the current layer is Alt + Ctrl + Left-Click. You can also configure that shortcut in the Canvas Input Settings under Alternate Invocation.
