I moved your question into Artists Feedback & Testing because it is not the case that you discuss some code with the devs, but you are reporting an issue with a pre-production release, or, in other words, a version that is meant to find and report issues like the one you found. It usually makes not much sense to find a solution from our side because of the nature of these nightly builds.
The best thing you can do is to create a bug report on this. This needs you to register with https://bugs.kde.org/, and you should at least submit the information you will find below Help
→ Report Bug...
which will automatically copy the data from the box it shows into your clipboard. If you already have an account with https://bugs.kde.org/, you should log in to it first, then a click on the button Submit Bug Report
should automatically open the correct input mask in your system browser where you have to specify your OS, select nightly build (please specify the git hash!)
for the version you are reporting on and add the git hash of the version you are reporting on, Severity
stays at normal, and fill out the other fields as good as you can. Under comment, describe the issue you faced, perhaps link to this topic and also add the report from your clipboard.
I’ll quote below my template on how to create bug reports for you as reference:
To report a bug, you must register at https://bugs.kde.org/ to gain access to the “KDE bug tracking system”, i.e. “KDE’s bug tracker”. Keep in mind that the e-mail address you use there must firstly be existing / valid and secondly that it can be viewed by any visitor to the site. But the likelihood of your address falling into the hands of spammers there seems to be very low, because the address I used to register with them, I’m using exclusively for access to the KDE bug tracking system and have not had a single spam mail in my mailbox in the years I have been registered there.
You can read what a bug report should look like under Reporting Bugs in the Krita manual (the input mask looks slightly different today), or the User Guide on KDE.ORG, which I like less. Please use the drop-down menus to select the software, i.e. Krita, the version number, the operating system and try to narrow everything down as much as possible using the drop-down menus available there.
Here you’ll find the mask to report bugs in Krita:
https://bugs.kde.org/enter_bug.cgi?product=krita
It might be a good idea to include the link to this topic in your bug report so that the developers can read your findings here.
And after completing the bug report, i.e. after you have sent it, please publish the link to the bug report here in this topic.
That’s mainly it.
