i want to copy and paste a layer from 1 image to another, but CANNOT control where it is pasted, and the image where im pasting is 16x16 so it is simply disappears
i tried to create another image file with 2048x2048 and my pasted image did appear.
can anyone tell me a where to paste my layer in a specific location? ( i really need to paste it in a 16x16)
Usually I go to the image I want to copy and in the layer docker, right-click on the layer and choose “Copy Layer”.
So, I go to the image I want to paste and in the layer docker, I right-click on the layer and choose “Paste Layer”.
i dont get it, i did everything as you said and it still doesnt appear on the canvas, the layer does apear in the layer docker but theres no trace of it on canvas…
When you paste an image it’s not going to be resized automatically.
You try to paste a layer into a canvas that is just a 128th the size of the original. You will only see a 16 px portion of the original and when this happens to be the same color as the background collor it appears to be empty when in reality the pastet layer is just too large to fit. Either you have to transform the layer after pasting or you paste the layer into a document with similar dimensions and then resize the canvas.
Downsizing an image by such huge amounts will leave you with an unrecognizably small and pixelated result either way.
