I had the amazing task to do a cover illustration for a new science fiction novel named The Callenger by Anders Aaslund. I had pretty much free hands but still a good dialouge with the author. What you see is the protagonist in her aerobatics suit, inside a big sphere construction where a whole world resides.

This is how the final cover design rendered (not by me).

This is amazing! The only thing that irritates me is that the upper body is so bent but the legs seem pretty stiff. All in all a great illustration though. :sparkles:

Thank you for the comment! We found a photo reference from an athlete with a pose we thought worked perfectly for the illustration, so I assure you it’s legit. :slightly_smiling_face:

We wanted the feeling of letting go, falling calmly into a mental abyss. Hopefully it strengthens that theme that is in the story.

A title: THE CHALLNGER - I was thinking about people with daltonism.
Sometimes it’s a problem to see something without contrast.
