They are here! Do you need to illustrate something for a children book or maybe just mimic the style? I gave a lot of hints in the video. You have timecodes in pinned comment and description. Now is your turn
If you paint something with them this is the best place for sharing your master piece or fun sketches.
If you have questions, let me know too, i will try o do my best. Enjoy!
You man, has discovered the trick (the brush is not only for the simple tasks.), posibly the best brush i have done for simple sketching and shading if you like âgrainyâ surfaces⌠i will explain more things of these brushes asap
It is a Krita-File, you open it in Krita.
In short, with some better file managers , this will open up like a *.ZIP-File because *.KRA-Files are ZIP-Files in which all layers and everything belonging to your file/painting it is stored in.

Edit: In addition, it should be said that a file manager should actually start the files in Krita or pass the files to Krita to open, in the file managers I know you have to explicitly enable it that the file is opened as a ZIP.
Normally you start Krita, and then you can open this file out of Krita via âFileâ > âOpenâ > and then you have to browse your file system to the location of that file (like any other) select it and choose âopenâ in the file-dialog.
Yes, thatâs the place I got it from. It downloads as a zip.
Another question: regarding the crayon_8_wax_rounded brush: when I use my finger, the brush is big but when I use my stylus, the brush suddenly gets very small, is there a way to disable that?
My guess is no. This is just a speculation, but I think the sensor surface on which you draw and paint recognizes the thickness of your finger and then converts it into line width. You could try to draw only with the fingertip or even the fingernail, if it becomes narrower than my assumption should be correct. Youâll probably have to consult the manual of your tablet or cell phone to see if there are any differences in the handling of the recognized input method.
But if you want to search I would look in the brush editor, possibly you will find a hint there. But thatâs a subject I donât know much about.
This is another example of a browser being âhelpfulâ and giving you what it thinks you should have.
The browser realises that the .kra file is really a .zip file (in the same way that it sees that a .kpp file is really a .png file) and this is what some of them do.
I expect that using your finger isnât changing the size - itâs probably fixed at 100%.
That brush uses tilt elevation for the size setting - so with a tilt sensitive tablet the size will be small when the stylus is vertical (like using the tip of the crayon), but increase as you tilt the stylus to the side (like using the side of the tip).
You can either turn off the pen setting so it behaves the same as with your finger, or adjust it to behave the way you want.
