Krita is broken so no can do. And of course people at large don’t care about scripting bugs. API bugs destroys plugins across the board but people just report to the plugin creators as per usual. That does “nothing”. And then the plugin creators are just a few sooo not a POPULAR bug to go fix.
Both Photobash and Imagine board insert images as layers, but it is impossible now because it is a spoiled command currently.
The alternative to this now is to use the method that by passes the direct API and use ALT+LMB drag and drop.
