Creating illustrations for a game with KRITA! đź§€

Hi, it’s been a while since i’ve been here, so i decide to come back wanting to share something really cool with you all.

I’ve spent the last few months making a game for the Roblox platform (I’ve been working on another one for Steam for 2 years, but I can’t talk about it due to NDA).
Both are being illustrated 100% using Krita.

Both the concept art and the game assets are being created here, and I must say! I’m pushing Krita to its limits, both with the animation tools and the file size (8000x8000).

My goal is to show everyone how far we can go with this program, at least, what I consider to be truly “far”.

I’ve been using this program for 10 years and I don’t need to use another one, and in the future I hope to be able to support it even more with donations.

Now, here’s what you need to know:

Tools like vector, free brush, and blending and filtering tools are impeccable; I’ve never found another program that truly manages to be better for these tools. BUT

Animation tools, look, Krita is useful, don’t get me wrong, but because it doesn’t have a type of pre-rendering and lacks many animation tools from other programs, BUT I don’t judge, because even the most used animation tool in the job market, which is called… well, I don’t want to say the name of that horrible program, but it starts with “T” and ends with “mony”

is bad, seriously, there’s no good animation program to this day, there’s only the least bad, there’s no good one.

So it wouldn’t be any different with Krita, but it works, and it’s been great, but remember, complaining is easy, donating to the program to improve its tools is what should be done, and I will, I promise, just wait until I finish the game.

I will update you on the game’s production, because I really want to represent Krita in the world of game development, I really like Krita and I owe a lot of my life to it, it was with it that I started my dream and today I live a dream career, thank you to everyone on the development team of this program.
